Work, Rest and Play - Deepening Spiritual Attentiveness in Our Common Rhythms of Life

An experiential and reflexive day retreat that draws upon Jesus’ gracious invitation in Matthew 11:28–30 to address spiritual dimensions of wellbeing in these three common rhythms of life. This retreat works really well for building relational capital for your next team building day. 

R&R - Restored and Re-Storied for Flourishing Living  

A one day retreat where we come face to face with our inner angst and vexed relationship with rest. Intuitively we know our work and relationships are much healthier when live from a space of rest. Yet we often feel too guilty, busy or exhausted to fully enter into the rest we so deeply crave. It is exhausting when we forget that true rest is a sacred gift to be received, not something to be achieved.
        Held within a gentle and contemplative space, this retreat moves beyond tips and tricks to explore deeper spiritual roots of rest, over four sessions:
  1. Restored through Presence: attend to the reality of what is and return to our radical belovedness and acceptance 
  2. Restored through Participation: reframe the spiritual life from what we do for God to what God is doing through us
  3. Re-Storied through Play: use creativity to notice the slow work of God in us and imagine new ways of flourishing
  4. Re-Storied through Practices: ponder practices that strengthen this slow work so we can embody the good life

Betwixt and Between - Exploring a Spirituality of Liminality

Transitions, sometimes called ‘liminal spaces’, are human experiences of change where we’re not where we were, but not yet where we’re going - we feel caught 'betwixt and between'. Whether in our circumstances, vocations, work places or inner lives, liminal experiences can unsettle us and sometimes shake our sense of identity to the core. And yet, they can also provide the greatest avenues for personal and collective growth if we have help in learning how to navigate them. This retreat explores features of the liminal spaces in our lives and how we can lean into the paradoxes to notice where God’s presence and activity is often most profound.

3 Movements for Christian Leaders

What is needed for today's Christian leaders in the challenging times in which we find ourselves? More strategies? Techniques? Cleverness? Perhaps. But this retreat drills into deeper issues of character, since lasting fruit flows from deep roots. Explore what it means to move from relevance to prayer, from popularity to ministry, and from leading to being led. The recommended length is one day, although it can be tailored according to your team's situation and needs.
